The spider probably thought the bucket was a kangaroos pouch and was just hopping a lift down the street, cause that’s what we Aussies and our animals & insects do.It really is a friendly place.

This is a huntsman spider, completely harmless. I have one that sits like that on my living room wall for hours at a time, then goes back to his web in the window sill, I like having him around, he helps keep the mosquitos under control.. those I hate.
