Julian Batts had the opportunity of a lifetime on Wheel Of Fortune. The Indiana University honors student struck gold by hitting the million-dollar piece and was in position to solve the puzzle. All he had to do was correctly read the words on the screen and he managed to botch it. Batts failure to correctly pronounce the word “Achilles” cost him a million dollars. Catch the meltdown here:
Batts stoke of bad luck didn’t stop there, as he fumbled on two other puzzles, losing a car and a trip to London in the process. The story doesn’t end in tragedy though, as Batts managed to still win the game and make it to the bonus round. “Julian, I don’t think anyone has ever taken a more circuitous route to victory,” host Pat Sajak said.
