      Really? ALL western disease? What makes you think that these people are pure? Their life expectancy is probably in the 30s because of diseases like malaria and west nile and other highly infectious diseases that exist in the wild. This is seriously one of the most ignorant posts I’ve ever encountered.

        it’s THIs that is our disease. A need to be superior and dig at eachother. This is an amazing video, something we could all enjoy and share, but as usual someone has to poke at someone. I hope they don’t learn to be like us at all.

    The worst thing he could do was introduce rice and other simple starches and sugars to these people. When that happens to indigenous cultures, they invariable go from having healthy bodies (which you can see in this video) to developing all the symptoms and ailments of metabolic syndrome:heart disease, diabetes, alzheimers, etc. Such a shame, really. We need to eat like them, not the other way around.

    New Guinea for sure…not sure if it’s Papua New Guinea or Papua, Indonesia. Dress, adz and feathers could place them in the upper Sepik or across the border in Papua. I lived there for 18 yrs. Definitly this is NOT 1st contact with the “white man.” This was staged. No men in New Guinea would let their women and kids get close to white “spirits.”

    SORRY GUYS BUT THIS SO-CALLED FIRST ENCOUNTER WAS STAGED!

    Anthropologist Pierre Lemonnier who denounced this documentary as fraud in an article for the French Newspaper Liberation, studied the Papuans for over a decade and says that the “unknown tribe” lives less then four days away by foot from an administrative center with, a landing strip, a radio and nurses. They also use the Vailala River to travel to the coast to sell handmade goods.

    This is like showing me a naked woman, getting me aroused, then taking her away. It’s likely their culture as-is will persist. Why “introduce” this tribe to anything? Are we going to provide them with aid and democracy next? Videos like these are done for our own benefit and not the benefit of the tribe.

    So these guys had never once seen an airplane, chopper, hot air balloon in the sky or any ship a sea?
    In all this time, not one Australian fishing boat, commercial or pleasure craft had ever landed on their shores from northern Australia, a FEW MILES away. Puhhhlleeeese!! They would have to live in underground bunkers to have not made contact hundreds, even thousands of times by now.

    Possibly the most exciting adventure anyone could ever have. Meeting and sharing food with a native group of peaceful people. I wish I could see more of this exchange.
    Questions I have cover many topics but the main question is exactly where (truthfully) and in what year did this meet take place?
    Could this have taken place in Africa or some other place than the Amazon?
    Why hasn’t this been announced in the various news media around the world? Maybe this was staged but with what we viewed we will never know.
